Job Summary

Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Devices Reprocessing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Medical Device Reprocessing Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective reprocessing of medical equipment and instruments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Decontaminate, reprocess, and sterilize medical equipment and instruments to the highest standards.
  • Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Address and resolve issues in a productive and respectful manner, exercising sound professional judgment and adhering to best practice guidelines.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for all staff and patients by adhering to patient and staff safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a Sterile Processing Technician Program (or equivalent) through an accredited College.
  • Two years' experience working with complex surgical instruments and operating room instrumentation.
  • Experience with Low Temperature Sterilization.
  • Computer experience required.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of working experience in CS/SPD preferred.
