Training Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Training Specialist to join our team at The North West Company. As a key member of our People Development team, you will play a critical role in enhancing our people development programs across the organization.

Your Role:
  • Facilitate training events for unique audiences organization-wide, utilizing a variety of methods including in-person, virtual, eLearning, and on-the-job coaching.
  • Deliver training programs that cater to diverse learning styles and needs, ensuring a high-quality learner experience.
  • Support the learner/trainee experience, including communications, attendance tracking, progress monitoring, assessments, and overall success.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to support training delivery and facilitation, as needed.
  • Conduct learner/trainee follow-up meetings to assess and evaluate knowledge and abilities.
Program Delivery and Evaluation:
  • Collaborate with learning partners to identify and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for training programs.
  • Create and present training program evaluations and summaries to identify opportunities for ongoing improvement.
  • Maintain training and learning materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the learner experience across all training programs.
  • Support the design and development of training programs, staying up-to-date on current and future learning trends.
Requirements:
  • Certificate in Adult Education or similar an asset.
  • CPHR Designation or Human Resource Management an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience delivering training programs.
  • Experience in facilitation and presentation to diverse audiences.
  • Experience delivering training using a range of methods, including in-person, virtual, and blended learning.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a team environment.
