About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Nutrition and Hospitality Professional to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our Maplestone Enhanced Care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of menus that meet therapeutic nutrition guidelines
  • Assess resident's nutritional status and review monthly weights, following up as required
  • Address client's individual dietary concerns and establish personal nutritional needs
  • Oversee and plan special nutrition needs for special diets, allergies, and disease conditions
  • Present staff and client education sessions on nutrition and related topics
  • Communicate client nutrition care plans to clients, family, and staff as appropriate
  • Collect and enter data into a database and document clinical nutrition indicators monthly
  • Administer the operating budget for dietary services, overseeing purchase orders and invoices

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and membership with a professional association. You should have excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills, as well as experience in a long-term care setting. A valid Food Handlers' Certificate and ability to provide a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check are also required.
