About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our Gastroenterology Care Team at IWK Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the nutritional management of children seen by the team. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing evidence-based nutrition care plans and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for children with gastrointestinal disorders
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care and coordination
  • Participate in case conferences and team rounds to share knowledge and best practices
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff, dietetic interns, and students on normal and therapeutic nutrition
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of nutrition policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics
  • Successful completion of a Dietitians of Canada accredited dietetic internship program
  • Current license to practice with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association
  • Previous experience in pediatric and ambulatory healthcare settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
