About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Supervisor to join our team at Aecon Group Inc. as a key member of our Proposal Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the proposal development process, ensuring that all proposals are compliant, persuasive, and submitted on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proposal Development Oversight: Oversee the development of proposals, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and internal standards.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor teams of 3-5 Proposals Coordinators to ensure timely and accurate submissions of proposals.
  • Task Assignment and Progress Monitoring: Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring balanced workloads and efficient use of resources. Conduct regular check-ins and status meetings to monitor progress and address any issues.
  • Proposal Review and Feedback: Review and provide feedback on proposal drafts to ensure clarity, persuasiveness, and compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Ensure that all proposal activities adhere to the organization's established processes and best practices. Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposal development process.
  • Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication between proposal team members, estimators, operations team, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders. Coordinate inputs and reviews from various departments to ensure comprehensive and cohesive proposals.
  • Quality Control and Reporting: Conduct final reviews of proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and enhance the overall quality of proposals. Maintain detailed records of proposal activities, including timelines, responsibilities, and outcomes. Prepare regular reports on proposal status, team performance, and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management or a related role, preferably in the construction industry. Prior experiencing supervising a team of Proposals Coordinators.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of proposal development processes and best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in proposal management software and tools. APMP Foundation or Practitioner Certification is an asset.
