Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Subway Sandwiches and Salads. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to ensure that our food service team is adequately staffed to meet customer demand.
- Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Order and manage the inventory of food and kitchen supplies to ensure that we have the necessary resources to maintain our high standards.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Lead and motivate our food service team to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer needs.
- Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide ongoing training and coaching to our food service team to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required for Meal Preparation: Plan and manage the inventory of ingredients and supplies needed to prepare our menu items.
- Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to join our team.
- Ensure that Food and Service Meet Quality Control Standards: Monitor and maintain the quality of our food and service to ensure that it meets our high standards.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage the budget for our food service department to ensure that we are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns.
- Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and Wastage: Manage and maintain accurate records of our inventory, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure that we are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on the performance of our food service department.
- Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: Experience in a food service environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of Culinary Genres: Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres is required.
- Physical Capabilities: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines is required.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a client-focused approach are essential.
