Senior Assurance Manager

RSM is seeking an Assurance Manager to join our Private Client Services team. As a key member of our national practice, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse client engagements, collaborating with our team to deliver high-quality services that meet or exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities:- Provide timely and high-quality client service, including coordinating review engagements, compilations of financial statements, and related disclosures.
- Assess risk and design procedures to engagement teams, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of services.
- Understand and utilize RSM's review, compilation, and audit methodology, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in accounting and auditing standards.
- Manage multiple engagement teams, preparing end-of-engagement evaluations for staff and monitoring work product to ensure quality and consistency.
- Supervise engagement teams, facilitating field work and monitoring productivity and adherence to work plan schedules.
- Maintain contact with clients throughout the year, understanding the impact of significant developments on their business and assessing the impact on current year engagements.
- Develop others within the Firm through facilitating training, advising on career development, and participating in Firm initiatives.
- Subscribe to industry publications and share relevant information with clients, anticipating and addressing client concerns and escalating issues as needed.
- Understand RSM's lines of business, services, and opportunities for valuable introductions to other Firm professionals.
- Develop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the Firm to effectuate business growth.
- Manage profitability of projects, identifying and communicating accounting and engagement matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities and ensure professional development through ongoing education.
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- Active CPA designation in good standing.
- 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
- Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
- Understanding of compilation, review, audit, and tax services, with knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
- A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
- Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.
- A successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.
