We are seeking a Senior Assurance Manager to join our Private Client Services team. As a key member of our national practice, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse client engagements, collaborating with our team to deliver exceptional results. Our clients include local, national, and internationally recognized companies, and our assurance professionals help them navigate the most challenging business cycles.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide timely, high-quality client service, including coordinating review engagements, compilations of financial statements, and related disclosures.
- Assess risk and design procedures to engagement teams, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy.
- Understand and utilize our review, compilation, and audit methodology, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in GAAP and GAAS.
- Manage multiple engagement teams, preparing end-of-engagement evaluations for staff and monitoring their performance.
- Supervise engagement teams, facilitating fieldwork and monitoring productivity and adherence to work plan schedules.
- Maintain contact with clients throughout the year, understanding the impact of significant developments on their business and assessing the impact on current year engagements.
- Develop others within the Firm through facilitating levels-based or industry training, advising on career development, and participating in other Firm initiatives.
- Subscribe to and actively read industry publications, sharing relevant information with clients as applicable.
- Anticipate and address client concerns, escalating issues as they arise.
- Understand our lines of businesses, availability of services, and discuss opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the firm.
- Develop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growth.
- Manage profitability of projects, identifying and communicating accounting and engagement matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities and ensure professional development through ongoing education.
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- Active CPA designation in good standing.
- 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
- Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
- Understanding of compilation, review, audit, and tax services with knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
- A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
- Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.
- A successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions, including education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $78,000 - $132,500
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
