RSM is seeking an Assurance Manager to join our Private Client Services team. As a key member of our national practice, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse client engagements, collaborating with our team to deliver high-quality services to local, national, and internationally recognized companies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and high-quality client service, meeting or exceeding client expectations through the coordination of review engagements, compilations of financial statements, and related disclosures.
  • Assess risk and design procedures to engagement teams, ensuring the delivery of exceptional results.
  • Understand and utilize RSM's review, compilation, and audit methodology to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Manage multiple engagement teams, preparing end-of-engagement evaluations for staff and ensuring the development of others within the Firm.
  • Supervise engagement teams, functioning as an in-charge and facilitating field work by monitoring and reporting on productivity and adherence to work plan schedules.
  • Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand the impact of significant developments in their business and assess the impact on current year engagements.
  • Develop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growth.
  • Manage profitability of projects, identifying and communicating accounting and engagement matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education, keeping abreast of the latest developments as they affect GAAP and the Firm's standards and policies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
  • Active CPA designation in good standing.
  • 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Understanding of compilation, review, audit, and tax services with knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
  • A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
