Senior Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Assurance Manager to join our Private Client Services team at RSM. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse client engagements and contribute to our national practice.
Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional client service, including coordination of review engagements, compilations of financial statements, and related disclosures.
- Assess risk and design procedures to engagement teams.
- Understand and utilize RSM's review, compilation, and audit methodology.
- Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
- Supervise engagement teams and facilitate field work by monitoring and reporting on productivity and adherence to work plan schedules.
- Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand the impact of significant developments in their business.
- Develop others within the Firm through facilitating levels-based or industry training, advising on career development, or participating in other Firm initiatives.
- Subscribe to and actively read industry publications, sharing relevant information with clients as applicable.
- Anticipate and address client concerns, escalating issues as they arise.
- Understand RSM's lines of businesses, availability of services, and discuss with client management opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the Firm.
- Develop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the Firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growth.
- Manage profitability of projects.
- Identify and communicate accounting and engagement matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities.
- Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
- Keep abreast of latest developments as they affect GAAP and the Firm's standards and policies.
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- Active CPA designation in good standing.
- 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
- Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
- Understanding of compilation, review, audit, and tax services with knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
- A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
- Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.
- A successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

Compensation Range: $78,000 - $132,500
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
