Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled CI Site Manager Lead to play a key role in promoting continuous improvement in our Canadian operations. This individual will provide support for sites located in Alberta – Edmonton & Red Deer and be responsible for identifying, driving, and sustaining long-term improvement in each site.
Responsibilities- Site Leadership: The CI Site Manager Lead reports directly to the Edmonton Plant Manager and is responsible for ensuring that the Saputo Operation Excellence System is sustained and financial goals are achieved.
- Daily Floor Presence: This individual provides daily coaching, influence, and implementation of improvements on the factory floor, embodying the principles of the Saputo Operation Excellence System.
- OEE Management: The CI Site Manager Lead ensures proper measurement of plant OEE within manufacturing, manages the Saputo Production System (ioTORQ), and guarantees it is up-to-date, also being accountable for national OEE reporting.
- Plant Capacity Optimization: This individual monitors plant capacity, understands and manages the impact of complexity, and proactively engages in optimizing asset utilization.
- Maintenance and Upgrades: They develop the plant master plan in collaboration with the plant manager and relevant functions, describing where the plant needs to be in 3-5 years in terms of performance, processes, and culture.
- Site Initiatives and Projects: The CI Site Manager Lead drives site initiatives under CI Corporate coaching, supports investigation or root cause analysis, and leads small to medium LSS projects.
- Data Analysis: They analyze daily production performance data, ensuring the plant's impact on supply chain performance results in the lowest total delivered cost, helping site leadership identify and prioritize losses and opportunities.
- Training and Development: This individual is responsible for training personnel in IoTORQ and Saputo Operation Excellence System/Industrial Performance Pillar, maintaining CI competence in the plant through development of key personnel and exposure to projects.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent education in operations management, logistics, or warehousing.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing operations.
- Proven leadership and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Six Sigma Green Belt, or higher, certification is an asset.
- Strong understanding of CI modules and tools, ability to disseminate them within the plant.
- Ability to manage projects to achieve improvement targets, CAMP, PMP, or agile certification is an asset.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to influence and work at all levels of an organization, operate effectively in the plant without line responsibilities.
- Ability to challenge the status quo to promote improvement within the plant.
- Strong leadership, effective communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivation and ability to work across multiple functions.
- Ability to lead and motivate people to meet and exceed plant improvement targets.
