Job Title: Insurance Coordinator

This role is responsible for supporting the application process from referral to policy delivery. The Insurance Coordinator works closely with the Insurance Advisor to provide ongoing case management and client support, including post-sale servicing and preparation for policy renewals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the progress of applications through underwriting and policy issue, including the status of medical requirement orders and APSs.
  • Investigate issues and work with insurance carriers to find solutions.
  • Respond to requests from insurance carrier underwriters and clients to assist in the issuing of policies.
  • Work with underwriters to determine the best course of action for clients with challenging medical history.
  • Prepare policies for delivery to clients.
  • Support the Insurance Advisor in preparing presentations to High-Net-Worth clients.
  • Service policy owners, including past due notices and requests for CSVs.
  • Implement changes to policies, including PAD, beneficiary changes, and ownership forms.
  • Survey the database for upcoming policy term renewals and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Manage electronic and paper records and files, respecting security standards.
Requirements:
  • An active life and accident & sickness insurance license in good standing.
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and insurance company advisor portals in Canada.
  • Knowledge of Disability insurance is an asset.
