We are seeking qualified Caregivers to join our team at North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services (NEOFACS). This is a casual position available in Timmins at the FW Schumacher building. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in either the Intensive Service Program or the Live-In Treatment Program.

Job Summary

The Child and Youth Worker within the Intensive Service Program is responsible for performing all direct work within its community-based live-in program for children and youth. Duties include providing care and supporting the development of life skills and social skills for children and youth between the ages of 8-18 years old.

The Child and Youth Worker within the Live-In Treatment Program is responsible for performing all direct work within its program for children and youth. Responsibilities can include administering the clinical program, monitoring and participating in activities, completing records, logs, and inventories, performing building safety and security checks, and providing intervention to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality care and support services to children and youth in a live-in setting
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote the growth and development of children and youth
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support services
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Social Services, Human Services, Police Foundations, Community and Justice Program, Paramedic, or Registered Practical Nursing (RPN)
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Bilingualism (English/French) an asset for some positions
  • Valid driver's license and use of own vehicle
