Open Posting – Supervised Access WorkersCasual Positions in Timmins, Kirkland Lake, New Liskeard and Kapuskasing

As a Supervised Access Worker you will be responsible to attend, monitor, document and facilitate visits and exchanges in a safe and neutral environment between children and non-custodial parents or other persons as required by a Court Order. These services will be delivered in a timely fashion. Working hours will include evenings and weekends.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):
  • Successful completion of a diploma and/or degree from an accredited College and/or University in Social Services, Human Services or Registered Practical Nursing (RPN).
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, youth and families is an asset.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying legislative acts, standards and policies of the Agency, Ministry of the Attorney General, Ministry of Children and Youth Services and the Public Health Agency.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and use of your own vehicle.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required for some positions and an asset for others.

À titre de travailleur ou de travailleuse du programme de visites surveillées, vous serez responsable d’assister à des visites et à des échanges dans un milieu sécuritaire et neutre entre des enfants et des parents qui n’ont pas la garde de ces enfants ou d’autres personnes comme l’exigence l’ordonnance d’un tribunal, de surveiller ces visites et échanges, de consigner leur déroulement et de les animer. Ces services seront fournis en temps opportun. Les heures de travail comprendront le soir et la fin de semaine.

EXIGENCES DE L’EMPLOI (QUALITÉS ET COMPÉTENCES REQUISES) :
  • Être titulaire d’un diplôme ou d’un grade d’un collège ou d’une université accréditée dans le domaine des services sociaux, des services à la personne ou infirmier/infirmière auxiliaire autorisé(e) (IPA).
  • Expérience auprès des enfants, des jeunes et des familles est un atout.
  • Connaissance approfondie et expérience en interprétation et application des lois, les normes et des politiques de l’organisme, du ministère du Procureur général, du ministère des Services à l’enfance et à la jeunesse, et du service de santé publique.
  • Doit avoir un permis de conduire valide de l’Ontario et utilisation de son propre véhicule.
  • Excellentes aptitudes à communiquer, excellent entregent et excellent sens de l’organisation.
  • Le bilinguisme (anglais et français) est requis pour certains postes et un atout pour autres postes.
