About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at The Grand Canal Retirement Residence. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, focusing on geriatrics and palliative care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures, within the defined scope of practice.
  • Administer medications and conduct specimen collection, ensuring infection control and maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitor patients' progress and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, consulting with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, promoting healthy living and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure as a practical nurse in the province/territory of work.
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate and immunization records.
  • Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.

  • Repetitive tasks and physically demanding work, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
