Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at The Grand Canal Retirement Residence. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering medications, conducting specimen collection, and ensuring infection control. You will also observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects, take vital signs, and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and monitor patients' progress
  • Conduct specimen collection and ensure infection control
  • Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects
  • Take vital signs and provide safety and health education
  • Provide nursing services within defined scope of practice
  • Monitor patients' progress and evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
