About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at The Grand Canal Retirement Residence. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, focusing on geriatric and palliative care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to residents, including administering medications, conducting specimen collection, and ensuring infection control.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to residents and their families.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in gerontology and palliative care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and excellence in care.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure as a practical nurse in the province/territory of work.
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Gerontology and palliative care experience an asset.
