Job OverviewWe're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Day Surgery team at Victoria General Hospital. This is a full-time opportunity that requires the successful candidate to provide professional registered nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
Responsibilities- Provide independent nursing services, including administration of prescribed medical treatments.
- Liaise with the healthcare team to facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures as required.
- One year current endoscopy experience required.
- Experience in outpatient surgery preferred.
- Proficient with computer software applications, including Windows and Word processing.
- Certification in Conscious Sedation required.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements will be in accordance with employer policy.
- Knowledge of personal health information, protection of persons in care act, mental health act, workplace hazardous material information system, and principles of routine practices.
- Aboriginal language competency or knowledge in Aboriginal customs, traditions, and values is preferred.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $**$114,478**-$**$144,843** per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you may be eligible for an annual full-time incentive of up to **$2,000** each year until 2025 as per MOU #31 of the current MNU collective agreement.
