Job Overview

In the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, we are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist - Adult Care Unit to join our team. This role will provide professional registered nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.

About the Role

As a Nurse Specialist - Adult Care Unit, you will work under the general supervision of the Program Team Manager, demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital. Your responsibilities will include providing independent nursing services, administering prescribed medical treatments, leading the healthcare team, and coordinating patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional registered nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments as ordered by physicians or other authorized healthcare professionals.
  • Lead the healthcare team in providing high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinate patient care and discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and optimal outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Satisfactory completion of a post-graduate course in I.Nursing or equivalent experience.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $88,000 - $118,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
