We are seeking an exceptional Applied Scientist to join our Ads Algorithm team at Microsoft. As an Applied Scientist, you will play a key role in driving algorithmic and modeling improvements to our intelligent search advertising systems.
Responsibilities:- Conduct research and development on intelligent search advertising systems to mine and learn actionable insights from large-scale data and signals.
- Drive algorithmic and modeling improvements to the system, using deep learning techniques, and analyze performance to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and deliver robust and scalable solutions that make a direct impact on both user and advertiser experiences.
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field, with 2+ years of related experience, or Master's Degree with 1+ year of experience.
- 2+ years of working experience in statistical natural language processing (NLP) with latest deep learning technologies, including transformer and Large Language Models (LLMs), or Computer Vision (CV) with latest deep learning technologies.
- 2+ years of working experience with coding in production systems using C++, C#, Java, or Python.
- PhD degree.
- Deep learning or machine learning experience with TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
- Publication record in ML, NLP areas (CV also preferred).
- Experience in online advertising.
- Experience in parallel or distributed processing, high-performance computing, stream computing, and SCOPE.
