Your Role:

As a Senior Data Scientist at Global Relay, you will be responsible for building and deploying artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for our customers. You will work closely with our development team to design and implement scalable and high-availability solutions for large electronic communication archives. Your expertise will be applied to a wide range of tasks, including machine translation, transcription, natural language processing, and generative AI.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement machine learning models for data classification and understanding
  • Work closely with the development team to deploy models in a scalable and high-availability environment
  • Produce reports detailing model performance and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Take initiative to identify and solve important problems, coordinating with the team on cross-cutting technical issues
  • Participate in design review, code review, sprint planning, and other Agile artifacts
  • Collaborate with Product Management on user story generation and refinement
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing activities with colleagues
  • Mentor junior and intermediate data scientists via pairing and reviews

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience with solving machine learning problems
  • BSc in a STEM or Linguistics subject or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with very large data sets in an enterprise-wide application environment
  • Experience with Python and Bash
  • Experience with common machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, Sklearn, TensorFlow, and TensorRT
  • Experience mentoring junior and intermediate data scientists
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
