We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Indigenous Digital Program Associate to join our team at the First Nations Technology Council. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about digital literacy, innovation, and community development.
About UsThe First Nations Technology Council is a leading organization in British Columbia that promotes digital opportunities for Indigenous peoples. We work closely with communities, governments, and industry partners to advance digital literacy, improve internet connectivity, and provide guidance on data and digital technology.
Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for coordinating digital programs and services, managing inventory of student equipment, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our digital skills training programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Indigenous learners, communities, and organizations, and possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
The job duties include:
- Managing inventory of student equipment, including shipping, returning, cleaning, setting up, troubleshooting, and testing hardware.
- Collecting and managing learner and alum information, ensuring accurate and timely data entry to support admissions process.
- Organizing, maintaining, and archiving digital documents, including program files, learner records, equipment manuals, and administrative forms.
- Assisting in the procurement process by preparing and processing purchase orders, General Services Agreements (GSAs), and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Providing light touch tech support to students, instructors, and staff when required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of three years of experience in a project or program coordination role.
- Experience working with Indigenous learners, communities, and organizations with a demonstrated ability to communicate in a culturally competent and respectful manner.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing data entry and inventory.
- Ability to identify risks and pivot project plans when necessary.
- Experience working on various project management software systems and databases.
We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Other benefits include:
