About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary Chief Human Resources Officer to lead our HR function in Ontario, focusing on strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational development within the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company's vision, values, and business goals.
  • Talent Management: Lead efforts in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention strategies to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Organizational Development: Design and implement initiatives to foster a high-performance culture, employee development, and leadership growth.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Champion DEI initiatives to promote an inclusive work environment, supporting diverse talent and perspectives.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes and ensure alignment with organizational objectives, providing continuous feedback mechanisms.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Develop competitive compensation and benefits strategies that attract and retain top talent, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure HR practices meet legal requirements and promote a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Employee Relations: Lead efforts to foster a positive work environment, address employee grievances, and maintain effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications (e.g., CHRP, SHRM) preferred.
  • Strategic Skills: Proven track record in strategic workforce planning, talent development, and organizational change management.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of HR software and data analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
