About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at Marsh McLennan in Toronto. As a key member of our Human Resource department, you will be responsible for coaching, supporting and advising People Managers on people management throughout the colleague lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives to support business objectives
  • Provide guidance and support to Managers across the full range of activities in the HR portfolio, including performance management, skills and competence development, learning, succession planning, absent/leave management, change management, organizational effectiveness, compensation, benefits and total rewards
  • Support employee relations matters, including investigations, performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions, grievances, appeals, etc.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with functional teams (Finance, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition) and support the alignment between the people and business strategies
  • Ensure that regulatory and statutory obligations are discharged locally, including reporting requirements

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant Canadian work experience in HR, along with suitable qualifications. Bilingualism in English and French is required, as well as a thorough understanding of local laws, regulations, company policies, and HR processes.
