About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Sticks and Stones restaurant inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Training
    • Supervise and train cooking staff in preparation, cooking, and presentation of food
    • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Plan and prepare menus for special events and banquets
    • Ensure food quality and presentation meet our high standards
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
    • Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize ordering
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
