About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Sticks and Stones restaurant inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Expertise: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to the team, and create new recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Menu Planning and Quality Control: Plan menus and ensure that all dishes meet our high quality standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare and cook complete meals for special events, and train staff in food preparation and handling.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
