About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Little Grouse on the Prairie. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and train cooking staff, including specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks, to ensure high-quality dishes are prepared and presented to our guests.
  • Culinary Innovation: Develop new recipes and menus to enhance our culinary offerings and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food meets our high standards of quality and safety, and that our kitchen operations are in compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize our culinary operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by preparing and presenting dishes that meet our guests' dietary needs and preferences.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
