Housekeeping Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Waterfront Inn and Pelican Tavern. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Establish Operational Procedures: Develop and implement effective housekeeping procedures to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of our facilities.
- Select and Purchase Equipment and Supplies: Source and procure high-quality cleaning equipment and supplies to maintain our facilities.
- Plan and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the planning and coordination of housekeeping activities, including staff scheduling and task allocation.
- Inspect and Monitor: Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure compliance with our high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
- Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all housekeeping activities are conducted in accordance with our safety policies and procedures, and that all staff are aware of and comply with relevant regulations.
- Maintain Inventory: Oversee the maintenance of inventory levels of cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet our needs.
- Coordinate Maintenance Services: Coordinate with external maintenance services to ensure that our facilities are properly maintained and repaired.
- Conduct Performance Evaluations: Conduct regular performance evaluations of housekeeping staff, providing feedback and coaching to support their development.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
- Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service and ensure that our guests receive a high level of service.
- Dependability: Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and external partners.
