Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Waterfront Inn and Pelican Tavern. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel and restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Operational Procedures: Develop and implement effective housekeeping procedures to ensure a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel and restaurant.
  • Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their responsibilities and maintain high standards of service.
  • Coordinate Maintenance and Repair Services: Work with our maintenance team to ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order, and that any necessary repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Conduct Performance Evaluations: Regularly evaluate the performance of housekeeping staff, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve their skills and meet their goals.
  • Maintain Inventory: Oversee the inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and uniforms, ensuring that we have adequate stock levels to meet our needs.
  • Respond to Guest Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints regarding housekeeping services, working to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or facilities management role
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and guests. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
