Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Waterfront Inn and Pelican Tavern. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective operational procedures to ensure the smooth running of the housekeeping department. This will include creating and maintaining schedules, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.

Select and Purchase Equipment and Supplies

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing all necessary equipment and supplies for the housekeeping department, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to maintain our high standards.

Plan and Coordinate Activities of Housekeeping Supervisors and Crews

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of our housekeeping supervisors and crews, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Coordinate Inspection of Assigned Areas

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for coordinating the inspection of assigned areas, ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Supervise Staff

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for supervising and mentoring our housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standard.

Ensure Safety Standards and Departmental Policies are Met

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all safety standards and departmental policies are met, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Supervise Maintenance and Repair Services

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance and repair services, ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Conduct Performance Evaluations and Appraisals

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for conducting regular performance evaluations and appraisals of our housekeeping staff, providing feedback and guidance to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standard.

Maintain Inventory of Supplies, Equipment, and Uniforms

Supervise In-House Laundry Services

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating in-house laundry services, ensuring that our linens and uniforms are clean and well-maintained.

Coordinate In-House Laundry Services

Schedule and Assign Duties of Housekeeping Staff

Coordinate Dry Cleaning and Valet Services

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for coordinating dry cleaning and valet services, ensuring that our guests' clothing and personal items are clean and well-maintained.

Respond to Guest Complaints

The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for responding to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service.
