About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Waterfront Inn and Pelican Tavern. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Operational Procedures: Develop and implement effective housekeeping procedures to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of our facilities.
  • Select and Purchase Equipment and Supplies: Source and procure high-quality cleaning equipment and supplies to maintain our facilities.
  • Plan and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the planning and coordination of housekeeping activities, including staff scheduling and task allocation.
  • Inspect and Monitor: Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure compliance with our high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all housekeeping activities are conducted in accordance with our safety policies and procedures, and that all staff are aware of and comply with these policies.
  • Maintain Inventory: Oversee the maintenance of inventory levels of cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring that we have adequate stock to meet our needs.
  • Coordinate Maintenance Services: Coordinate with our maintenance team to ensure that any maintenance or repair work is carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct Performance Evaluations: Conduct regular performance evaluations of housekeeping staff, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve their performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality role
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week
