Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is a key role within Brock Canada, responsible for driving regional sales growth and pursuing business development opportunities through strategic networking, direct sales, and market research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve profitable growth and meet business objectives.
  • Pursue and acquire new business opportunities, while maintaining and developing existing relationships within assigned regions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, communicate effectively with operations teams and corporate offices, and provide regular progress updates.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, research, and announcements to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials, and make recommendations for equity investments.
  • Engage in sales and marketing activities to drive growth and development of Brock Canada business across Canada.
  • Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations.

Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary education (diploma or degree) preferred.
  • Industry experience is a significant advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the scaffold, insulation, and fireproofing business, and its competitive environment.
  • Considerable experience in a sales-related position, with a consistent track record of growing company sales and targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a high level of professionalism and a motivation for sales while respecting diversity of opinions and an open, clear, and succinct communication style.
  • Highly effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple priorities, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.
  • Extensive understanding of regional marketplace, clients, and competitors.
