About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with physical and cognitive impairments regain independence and mobility.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective rehabilitation services.
  • Assist patients with daily activities, transfers, and exercises, promoting independence and quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized Community College Rehabilitation Assistant program or combined Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant College programs required.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) training or completion within three months of employment.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Location and Hours
