About the Opportunity

The Therapeutic Assistant plays a vital role in the rehabilitation team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Recreation Therapist to provide health, health promotion, and therapeutic services to patients. This role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with a Grade XII diploma and a certificate or diploma from a Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation Program. Current CPR certification and a St. John Ambulance First Aid course are also required. Strong knowledge of community resources and competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours
  • This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly.
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $21.88 - $23.86. Additionally, they may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
