We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapeutic Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Shannex Incorporated in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Job Summary

  • Provide comprehensive physiotherapy services, including assessments, treatment planning, and implementation, to residents with various physical needs and abilities.
  • Supervise and train physiotherapy/occupational therapy assistants as necessary, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to provide excellent care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each resident.
  • Evaluate the progress of residents in relation to physiotherapy treatment provided, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Train staff on back care, lifts, and transfers, as well as other relevant topics, to promote a safe and supportive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to physiotherapy treatment programs and client needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


Requirements

  • Master of Science in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualifications.
  • Current registration with the provincial College of Physiotherapists.
  • A minimum of two years clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation and geriatrics.
  • Previous supervisory experience and training in leadership and management.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including residents, family members, and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
