About the Role

Arcadis is seeking a skilled Electrical Transport Designer to join our team in Markham, Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for transportation facilities, including traffic signals and roadway lighting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare preliminary and detailed traffic/intersection design drawings, estimates, specifications, and proposals.
  • Work with technical staff to develop electrical designs for transportation projects.
  • Assist in preparing reports on design or study assignments.
  • Build and manage client relationships, including participating in business development activities and proposal preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Traffic/Civil Engineering.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in intersection/traffic signal design, preferably in a design-consulting or utility environment.
  • Must have or be eligible for the P. Eng. designation in Ontario.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Microstation.
  • Working knowledge of Ontario Traffic Manuals, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Highway Traffic Act, and other relevant technical manuals.
