Job Summary

Arcadis is seeking a skilled Electrical Transport Designer to join our team in Markham, Toronto. The successful candidate will have experience in transport electrical design, specifically in public and private sector projects, and strong knowledge of construction methodology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare preliminary and detailed traffic/intersection design drawings, estimates, specifications, and proposals.
  • Assist in preparing reports on design or study assignments.
  • Work on client relationship building and management, including business development activities, proposal preparation, and project budgeting.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members on electrical, lighting, and communications systems projects.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Traffic/Civil Engineering.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in intersection/traffic signal design, ideally in a design-consulting or utility environment.
  • Must have or be eligible for the P. Eng. designation in Ontario.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Microstation.
  • Working knowledge of Ontario Traffic Manuals, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and Highway Traffic Act.
