About the Role

As a Mental Health Access Coordinator at PHSA, you will play a crucial part in ensuring seamless access to mental health services for patients. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and implement a centralized referral registry and access utilization system for designated mental health programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for the registry and access system, working closely with acute psychiatric mental health care services, community teams, and other related programs.
  • Maintain a bed occupancy and wait list database of referrals to designated mental health services and work in close liaison with referring agencies to prioritize referrals according to established policies and procedures.
  • Receive and review referrals for access and discharge to mental health services, identifying suitable services in accordance with established protocols and collaborating with various sites and/or health authorities to ensure efficient flow of referrals.
  • Provide consultation and guidance on policy interpretation and application relevant to eligibility and access to bed resources, supporting Mental Health & Addictions teams, acute sites, and other referral sources.

About You

We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in nursing or a related field, preferably with experience in adult and older adult residential care, tertiary, acute, and community mental health services. Your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders will be invaluable assets in this role.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is approximately $93,000 - $121,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
