About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Westwood Finishing & Flooring Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for various construction projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure accurate execution.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, to create high-quality structures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet project specifications.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless finish.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various industries.
Work Environment

As a Carpenter at Westwood Finishing & Flooring Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying work sites and locations. You will be required to work in confined spaces, handle heavy loads, and work at heights.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
