We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at The Badminton & Racquet Club of Toronto.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job SummaryThe Executive Chef will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management. They will also oversee the training and supervision of kitchen staff, ensuring that high-quality dishes are consistently prepared and served.
The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Manage the kitchen staff and ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Develop and implement new menus and recipes to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
- Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers to maintain exceptional standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage food costs effectively.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- 1-2 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role.
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
