About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in assisting with internal financial advisory services within the operational and corporate business units. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams across NSH Finance and Operations to develop and support analytical tools tailored to meet the needs of a diverse range of stakeholders, with specific focus on Continuing Care Finance Team.

Your work will positively impact Finance operations by enhancing existing functions and providing valuable new insights into NSH operations. This position will appeal to an individual looking to work in a dynamic, challenging, and team-based environment and is an excellent opportunity to learn about the Nova Scotia Health care system.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills. You should have a graduate degree in a recognized post-secondary business and/or accounting program and be enrolled or completed in CPA designation. You should also have a strong understanding of Finance and performance indicators, as well as excellent collaboration, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Hours

This is a long assignment, full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly. The expected end date is approximately 24 months.

Compensation and Incentives

The hourly rate for this position is $26.92 - 33.65. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
