Strategic Healthcare Policy Analyst

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Healthcare Policy Analyst to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary range of $42.93-$53.67 per hour.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will participate in the development of the strategic direction of the Clinical Network by providing leadership in policy development, planning, and accountability. They will provide strategic analysis and advice on issues impacting the clinical service area and/or population across the lifespan.
The Analyst will advise and lead the advancement of defined priority areas according to the Network's goals and objectives and the identified strategic directions of Nova Scotia Health. This involves building new and fostering existing partnerships that support the achievement of priorities.
Responsibilities- Design a provincial integrated plan for the Service or Population-based Network
- Develop strategic and operational plans that support excellence in care delivery, improvement in health outcomes, and achievement of standards of care established by Nova Scotia Health, the Department of Health and Wellness, and other relevant bodies
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a health-related discipline and registration with a relevant health or professional discipline/college or association preferred. They will also possess excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills, as well as expertise in critical analysis of evidence-based practices.
Additional assets include Certified Health Executive designation, 5-7 years of senior leadership experience, and knowledge of financial planning, project management, and quality improvement methodologies.
Candidates should be able to build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, and have expertise in leading complex change, cultural competence, and collaboration, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
