About the Opportunity

As a key member of our Human Resources team, the Manager of Human Resources will play a pivotal role in leading the department's operations, ensuring seamless delivery of essential services such as recruitment, performance management, leaves administration, workplace investigations, and policy enforcement. This position requires strong expertise in human resources, with a focus on attracting, retaining, and developing top talent through equitable practices and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director to develop and execute the organization's human resources strategy, aligning with current and future talent needs.
  • Provide guidance and support to the HR team, management, and staff on complex HR matters, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and implement policies, training initiatives, and surveys to meet compliance and strategic requirements.
  • Administer or coordinate various HR programs, services, and tactics, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, disciplinary matters, performance management, and occupational health and safety.
  • Identify staffing needs and develop best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Analyze organizational trends and create reports using data from our HRIS system, providing insights for leadership.
  • Maintain awareness of employment laws, regulations, and best practices, recommending policy modifications as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes in HR and employment law, applying this knowledge to enhance our HR practices.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the HR team to support the organization's goals.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A CPHR designation is also necessary.
  • At least five years of human resource management experience, including supervisory and leadership roles.

Work Details

This full-time opportunity is located at our Head Office in Winnipeg, with occasional travel expected. A competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 per year will be offered based on qualifications and experience.
