Bar Hydraulics Inc., a leading hydraulic piping company, is seeking an ambitious and growth-driven individual for a design position at our Hamilton, Ontario location.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Piping Systems Designer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct manual field measurements for above-ground piping systems.
  • Create accurate hand sketches based on field measurements for shop fabrication.
  • Draft and update drawings based on field data.
  • Support construction teams by interpreting drawings and specifications and making design modifications as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, installers, and engineering staff.
  • Participate in reviews of 3D models and offer input from field observations.
  • Actively seek innovative and efficient solutions to technical challenges.
  • Perform other technical functions as needed to help deliver projects successfully.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Canadian passport and willingness to travel to the United States.
  • Available for a 6-week on and 1-week off work schedule.
  • Technical Experience, Diploma or Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Industrial experience is required.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles related to piping and mechanical systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of Mechanical piping layout experience.
  • Experience with piping iso drawings production.
  • Proven team player, detail-oriented, able to work with minimum supervision and with solid time management skills; must be able to manage multiple projects at a time.

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
