Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to provide high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges. As a Forensic Community Specialist, you will work collaboratively with our team to provide community-based services, including assessment, treatment, and support to individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client.
- Provide counseling, therapy, and support services to individuals and their families to promote recovery and well-being.
- Collaborate with community resources, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance access to services and promote community engagement.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based treatments.
- Diploma in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Two (2) years recent, related experience working with individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- Valid BC Drivers License.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
