Pacific Coast Community Resources is seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals living in staffed homes within their community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advocate for the rights and choices of the individuals we support
  2. Develop and implement Personal Service Plans to promote independence and self-determination
  3. Provide support with daily living activities, including medication administration and light housekeeping duties
  4. Build positive relationships with individuals, families, and community members
  5. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. Grade 12 education
  2. Community Support Worker Diploma or equivalent
  3. Minimum 2 years of experience in community social services/health care
  4. Current Emergency First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certificates
  5. Previous behaviour management course/training
  6. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, professionals, families, and community members
  7. Valid class 5 driver's licence
  8. Satisfactory Driver's Abstract
  9. Criminal record clearance for children and vulnerable adults
  10. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status
  11. TB Test
  12. Moderate computer literacy
  13. Eligibility to work in Canada
