Job Title: Youth and Community Support Worker - ExCel Discovery

Enviros WSA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth and Community Support Worker to join our ExCel Discovery team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the safety and well-being of youth in our care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to residents through a trauma-informed care perspective in a live-in group setting. This will involve collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring all government and daily paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner, and adhering to safety protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to residents through a trauma-informed care perspective in a live-in group setting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents.
  • Ensure all government and daily paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
  • Maintain regular house expectations, including meal preparation, cleaning, and sanitizing.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and additional training as required.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Criminal Justice or Human Services related field.
  • 1-2 years of youth justice, child and youth care, social work or human services experience is considered an asset.
  • New graduates will be considered.
  • Knowledge of experiential learning, strength-based practice and trauma-informed care.
