Job Title: Occupational Therapist II, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients in the NICU, using advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and functional ability.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate services with other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient information, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to occupational therapy practice in the NICU.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy and licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
  • Two years of recent related experience, including one year in pediatrics or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
  • 50 hours of postgraduate coursework or training related to additional procedures, techniques, and job functions for the NICU.
