Respiratory Therapist I, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide routine and intensive cardio-respiratory care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exemplary patient care through case review and physical assessment, recommending plans of care and documenting patient responses and outcomes.
- Operate respiratory equipment for patient care, including initial setup, ongoing quality control procedures, and initiating adjustments as needed.
- Support patient care for individuals who are ventilator-dependent, assessing and monitoring to meet care protocols and daily care plans.
- Recommend and administer individualized medical gas therapies for patients.
- Provide invasive and non-invasive cardio-pulmonary monitoring.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care examination.
- Current and continuing registration with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT).
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
