We're seeking a skilled Field Claims Adjuster to join our team, responsible for investigating and managing complex claims and losses for our personal and commercial lines of business.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and assess policy wordings and damage to determine appropriate coverage.
- Negotiate with customers, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims within established authority scope.
- Collaborate with different teams, including appraisal, underwriting, and legal, to resolve claims efficiently.
- Manage costs effectively and stay up-to-date on insurance products and trends in appraisal and investigation techniques.
- Hold a 5A Claims Adjuster Certificate.
- Have at least two years of experience as a property adjuster.
- Have a college diploma or equivalent work experience (an asset).
- Have a working knowledge of the law.
- Be an excellent communicator in both French and English.
- Have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Be available to travel on short notice.
